The women’s artistic gymnastics competition officially wrapped up today at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Team U.S.A. comprised of Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and Hezly Rivera racked up a serious medal count throughout the 10-days of competition winning 8 total (3 Gold, 1 Silver, 4 Bronze), but they also scored some serious style points along the way.

GK Elite, the world’s leading brand for gymnastics competition and training apparel, has been making leotards for the U.S. national gymnastics theme since the mid-’90’s, and created Team USA’s gymnastics leotards again for the Paris games. According to the label, “Glamorous Americana” was the theme for the 2024 uniforms which “married patriotic inspiration with Old Hollywood glamour”, thanks in no small part to the brand’s partnership with Swarovski, who added thousands of sparkling crystals as a tribute to the host city of Paris.

According to Swarovski, each athlete on the team gets eight leotards for different performances, requiring an astounding 47,000 Swarovski crystals for each gymnast. That is a lot of bling and we are here for it! Let’s take a look back at all the bedazzled leotards the team wore during the 2024 Paris Games.

Simone Biles closed out her Paris games winning a silver in the women’s floor exercise final — giving her four medals at the Paris Games, including three golds. The medal is 11th of Biles’ Olympic career, seven of which are gold. "I’ve accomplished way more than my wildest dreams, not just at these Olympics but in gymnastics," she said in a news conference Monday. "Walking way with four medals, I’m not mad about it. I’m pretty proud of myself.”

Biles suited up for her floor routine in GK Elite’s “USA Elegance” leotard. The leotard features an ombre color-way in shades of blue and red to mimic the American flag, combining the “finesse of gymnastic flair and French couture” with more than 5,000 crystals, including shaped diamonds and crystal flames on a sublimated mesh bodice. It also features an art nouveau-inspired lace pattern, transitioning to the back of the leotard.

After a score inquiry, Jordan Chiles won bronze for her routine in the stunning GK Elite “Freedom’s Grace” white glittering design, also worn earlier in the day during the balance beam finals by her teammate, Suni Lee. Simone Biles wore the “American Anthem” leotard for her beam routine during the finals.

Team USA’s Suni Lee successfully defended her Olympic bronze medalist title on uneven bars during the games, wearing GK Elite’s “Patriotic Poise” leotard. Inspired by the City of Light and the “refraction of light coming off buildings and streets in Paris”, the high-neck, all red leotard featured 3,600 garnet Swarovski crystals on the front and back.

Simone Biles won her second vault title (adding to the gold she won in 2016) during the Paris games, also in the stunning, " Patriotic Poise” leotard. Jade Carey battled through illness to win a bronze in the vault finals wearing the GK Elite’s “Luminous Legacy” leotard. Inspired by “the essence of true American heroes, it celebrates the extraordinary, almost superhuman achievements”of the athletes and sparkles with over 10,000 Swarovski crystals.

Simone Biles and Suni Lee dazzled the crowd not just with their performances during the individual all-around finals, but with their sense of style. For the second time in her career, Biles won the Olympic gold gymnastics all-around title. Lee won the bronze — both sparkling as bright (if not brighter) than their medals in their crystal-studded leotards.

Team U.S.A. won gold in the team competition in red, white, and blue leotards mimicking the U.S. Named, “Go for Glory”, the stars and stripes design was inspired by the “triumphant moment when an Olympic athlete is draped in the American flag”. The entire suit sparkled thanks to the 9,929 crystals in different colors, shapes, and sizes. If you’re a long-time gymnastics fan this leotard might look a little familiar. According to GK Elite, it “pays homage” to the 1996 gymnastics team, aka “the first Women’s National Team to spin their Olympic dreams into gold.”

The golden girls of gymnastics kicked off the Paris games in GK Elite’s “Star Spangled Shine” leotards during the qualifying round of the competition. Bedazzled with 6,359 Swarovski crystals in shades of red, white, and blue the eye-catching leotards cost around $3,000 each (according to Bustle), making them the most expensive leotard ever worn by Team U.S.A. Gymnastics to an Olympic Games.
