MEAN GIRLS Returns To Theaters For 20th Anniversary Screenings

October 3rd is Mean Girls Day, and if you’re looking for ways to celebrate grab your besties, put on your pink and head to a movie theater to relive all the drama on the big screen! Yes. You read that right. Paramount Pictures is teaming up with Fathom Events to bring Mean Girls back to select theaters for special 20th anniversary screenings on October 3rd and 6th.

The teen comedy originally premiered in April, 2004 and in the years since it’s released its become a pop culture classic, spawning a sequel, a stage musical, a movie musical that debuted in January this year — not to mention a slew of one-liners that fans of the film still drop today.

After living in Africa with her zoologist parents, Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) must brave the wilds of high school where she is taken under the wing of the popular girls, The Plastics, led by the cool and cruel Regina George (Rachel McAdams). What follows is a treasure trove of sharp, witty humor that defined a generation, inspired popularized countless catchphrases, a hit Broadway musical, and a new twist on the tale in 2024.
