New Marvel, New Star Wars, And World Premieres Lead The Disney+ Day Line-Up!

D23 Expo is taking place in Anaheim, CA this weekend, and the Mouse House is kicking things off September 8th with Disney+ Day. In addition to new content premiering on the streaming service, subscribers are also being treated with some special perks like early entry to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, celebratory photo opportunities, entertainment, culinary delights, and more! Additionally, Disney+ Day special screenings will return to select AMC Theatres from September 8-19.

The big premiere is the live-action Pinocchio directed by Academy-Award winner, Robert Zemeckis. The film stars Tom Hanks as Geppetto, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Pinocchio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket, and Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy.

Marvel fans are getting a lot of new MCU content on Disney+ Day with Thor: Love and Thunder making it’s streaming debut. New episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Marvel Studios Assembled, about the making of Thor: Love and Thunder are also hitting the service on September 8th.

Star Wars fans get a new documentary about the making of the recent Obi-Wan Kenobi series, with stars Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen and director Deborah Chow talking about their journey bringing the series to life. The documentary includes set tours, a look at the props department and interviews with cast and crew members.

There’s also a slew of new series making their premiere on Disney+ Day, including Cars on the Road, a nine-episode show that about Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) and Mater (Larry the Cable Guy). Growing Up, a docuseries created by Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) exploring the challenges, triumphs, and complexities of adolescence through coming of age stories, new sing-along versions of Frozen and Frozen 2 and more!
