MEN IN BLACK Returning To Theaters For 25th Anniversary Screenings

Men in Black is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary this summer, and to celebrate Fathom Events is bringing the sci-fi comedy back to the big screens for two nights in July. A new, 4K transfer of the film is scheduled to hit select theaters on Sunday, July 3rd and Monday, July 4th in select theaters nationwide. In addition to the film, the screening will also feature an interview with Director, Barry Sonnenfeld.

Men in Black was a huge box-office hit when it was released in 1987, grossing over $589.3 million worldwide and earning three Academy Award nominations— Best Original Score, Best Art Direction, and Best Makeup.

The movie follows the adventures of agents K (Tommy Lee Jones) and J (Will Smith) who are part of a top-secret organization established to regulate and monitor alien activity on Earth. The two investigate some mysterious alien deaths with the help of a New York City medical examiner (Linda Fiorentino). Together they find themselves in the middle of a deadly plot by an intergalactic criminal (Vincent D’Onofrio) who threatens to destroy the planet.
