After an awards season filled with makeshift backyard red caperts and designer Zoom gowns the stars were shining again in Los Angeles last night, bringing all the glamour we expect from the annual Academy Awards ceremony. Celebs got dressed to the nines to walk the red carpet at Union Station, and the Oscars even enforced a formal dress code this year — no sweatpants allowed!
Metallic gowns, cutouts, and bright colors were the big trends of the night. From the blue duchess satin gown by Louis Vuitton on Regina King, to a yellow Cher-inspired cut-out Valentino number on Zendaya, a gilded Vera Wang dress on Andra Day, and Angela Bassett in a red, 1980s-inspired gown by Alberta Ferretti—the ladies brought their A-fashion game for the night, and so did the men.
