THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR Chomps Into Urban Outfitters

Images: Urban Outfitters

The Very Hungry Caterpillar has been entertaining generations since it’s release in 1969. It’s one of the most popular bed-time stories ever — and it’s estimated that a copy of the classic book sells somewhere in the world every 30 seconds.

If you need a refresher, the book follows a ravenous caterpillar through an all-you-can-eat buffet. While children (and their parents) have loved the story for the past 50 years, the real star of the book is the beautiful graphic by designer, Eric Carle.

If you’re a fan of Carle’s work you can wear his art thanks to a new collaboration with Urban Outfitters. The retailer is selling a shirt ($39) and a sweatshirt ($69) with Carle’s signature illustrations. The shirt features the iconic caterpillar and fruit, and the sweatshirt has animals from Carle’s other classic, Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See? Take a look!
