You Can Rent The Castle From 'Downtown Abbey" For One Night In November On Airbnb

Listen up, Downton Abbey Fans! To celebrate the release of the upcoming movie, Highclere Castle — the home of Downton Abbey — is opening up its doors for the first time to two guests for a one-night-only stay you can book through Airbnb on November 26th.

Earl and Lady Carnarvon are inviting one lucky couple to “live like royalty” for the night at their iconic 100,000-square-foot, 300-room estate in Hampshire, England for £150 per person (approx. $187). The listing opens on October 1, at 7 a.m. EST and according to the description the selected couple will need to successfully convince the Lord and Lady in a written application that they are “passionate about Downton Abbey.” Only applicants with a verified Airbnb profile and positive reviews will be considered.

Fans will get the opportunity to explore iconic rooms seen in the series, such as the Drawing Room and Library to get a taste of what life must’ve been like for the Crawley family.

The evening of the stay includes cocktails in the Saloon and a traditional dinner with the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon in the State Dining Room, followed by coffee served in the Library. At night, the guests will sleep in one of the castle’s luxurious historical bedrooms that features an en-suite bathroom and views of over 1,000 acres of land.

Before leaving the next day, guests will enjoy a delicious breakfast prior to a private tour of Highclere Castle’s extensive grounds, and to make it even more of an immersive experience, the guests will be waited on by the castle’s own butler during the entirety of their stay.
