Every good story needs a good villain, and the 1959 Disney classic, Sleeping Beauty has that in spades with a certain baddie that has been giving audiences the chills since she and her beloved crow emerged from the green smoke for the first time 60 years ago. Talk about making an entrance!

The Disney x Rock Love Sleeping Beauty Collection launches online and live at D23 Expo August 23rd at 9 a.m. PST. The collection includes pendants, rings, and a pair of earrings. Prices range from $79 to $130 and each comes in a boutique box (with a branded travel pouch) full with character art inside and out.

"Maleficent is the ultimate Disney Villainess, and the story of Sleeping Beauty is set as a medieval fantasy," says RockLove CEO and designer, Allison Cimino. “I wanted to bring the drama by combining enamel, gold, crystals, and black rhodium for a sinister and gothic feel.”

I’m always impressed with all the details Cimino puts into her pieces, and this is certainly reflected in the Sleeping Beauty collection. Just look at fire-breathing dragons and horns that make up the filigree on this ring — inspired by the black oval ring worn by Maleficent.

"When watching the original 1959 film, I imagine that maybe it's her black crystal ring that gives her the power to shape-shift into the dragon,"reflects Cimino, "and knew I wanted to carve my own interpretation."
