Celebrate Godzilla's 65th Anniversary With This New Collection From Mondo
Godzilla turns 65 this year, and if your a fan of the King of the Monsters you can celebrate with a new collection from Mondo. For the first time, the Austin-based company is collaborating with Toho Co., Ltd on a collection of apparel and pins to featuring some of the most iconic movie monsters of all-time. Take a look!
The 11-piece, size-inclusive line includes long and short-sleeve tees and a hoodie in prices ranging from $25 - $50. I love the colorful takes on these classic monsters by artists, Maggie Chiang, Matt Taylor, Becky Cloonan, and We Buy Your Kids.
"What better way for Godzilla to celebrate 65 years of cinematic and pop culture history than to partner with the team at Mondo?” says Chris Mowry, Associate Brand Manager at Toho. “Like the Godzilla brand itself, Mondo has something for everyone, and there are some exciting new products on the way that are sure to please both the new fans as well as the hardcore collectors out there."
In addition to apparel, the collection includes the first four in a series of pins by Tom Whalen. Priced at $10, the designs include: Mothra, Godzilla, Hedorah, and Gigan. I don’t know about you, but I need them ALL!
The new Godzilla collection is the first of many Toho releases to come from Mondo. In a press release the company says posters, tiki mugs, and statues are on the way. Keep going for a closer look at the entire Mondo x Godzilla collection which is available to shop now at mondotees.com.
