The PÜR 'The Grinch'–Inspired Collection Is Perfect For All The Who's In Whoville

It’s October, and even though we haven’t celebrated Halloween yet, some makeup brands are already unveiling their holiday collections. Mineral-based cosmetics brand PÜR just launched a five-piece beauty and skin-care collection called The Grinch — inspired by the upcoming Dr. Seuss animated remake hitting theaters November 9th.
PÜR collaborated on the new line with Illumination, the film studio behind the latest version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the Grinch. The result is a festive five-piece collection, full of bright colors and adorable packaging — sure to grow-the-hearts of anyone on your holiday shopping lists.
which translates to cartoonishly adorable packaging, bright colors, and perfectly on-theme products. The collaboration is available starting today (October 1) on purcosmetics.com. First of all, we have a face palette: the Good Enough to Steal Face Palette & Color-Changing Lip Balm Set($42). The palette contains 10 eyeshadows (including sparkly red and green for a holiday smoky eye), a highlighter, a blush, and lip balm. In a bit of holiday magic, the lip balm goes on Grinch green and works with your skin tone to turn a perfect rosy pink.
The brand teamed up with Illumination Studios (who is spearheading the reanimation,) to create a festive, grow-your-heart, five-piece beauty and skin-care products. The holiday line features an assortment cosmetic confections including peppermint face masks, eye liners (including one in Grinch green), and makeup brushes.
For me, the standout piece in the collection has to be the Good Enough to Steal Face Palette & Color-Changing Lip Balm Set. Priced at $42.00 ($198 worth of products) it’s a steal. The eyeshadow palette comes with 10 shades in matte, shimmer, and glitter formulas. The names of the shades do not disappoint, and include: “Mr. Grinch”, “Sly One”, and “Cindy-Lou Who”.
The palette also includes a rosy blush (Heart of a Who Bush), a highlighter (Feeling Frosty Highlighter), and a color-changing lip balm (Moody Lip Balm) which is Grinchy Green in the tube but turns pink on your lips. The elaborate packaging is the final touch — the palette comes in a pop-up, heart-shaped box of Whoville, surrounded by ornaments and snow.
