It’s a wonderful time to be alive if you’re a film fan. Every week seems to bring an announcement (or two) about a classic movie coming back to the big screen. I don’t know about all of you, but I’m SO okay with that! Especially when it involves some of my all-time favorites.

Three pop culture classics are returning to theaters this fall. First up, is Beetlejuice, which as EW reports will be playing on select screens around the country this weekend. The Tim Burton classic celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year. (I know! Right?!?).

The 1988 movie stars Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin as a recently deceased couple who enlist the help of a bizarre demon named Beetlejuice played by Michael Keaton to get rid of a family who moves into their country home. Winona Ryder, Jeffrey Jones, and Catherine O’Hara round out the cast.

If you’ve never seen Beetlejuice now’s your chance to see a remastered version of the dark comedy classic. Entertainment Weekly didn’t have any details on specific markets or theaters you can see Beetlejuice this weekend, so you’ll have to check your local listings.

Both Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Richard Donner’s Superman: The Movie to theaters are celebrating milestone anniversaries this year, and Fathom Events is bringing them back to theaters in November.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is returning to theaters for one night only, Monday, November 12th for a 25th anniversary screening. The animated film features the art and voices from Batman: The Animated Series in a feature length adventure which finds The Dark Knight (Kevin Conroy) pitted against a mysterious figure who is rubbing out Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals, and who many believe is the caped crusader himself. Meanwhile, Batman’s alter ego, millionaire Bruce Wayne, is about to get married to the lovely Andrea Beaumont (Dana Delany), who helps him recover from his need to avenge his parents’ murder — meaning that his crime-fighting days may be numbered.

Finally, Superman fans can catch the first feature length appearance of the Man of Steel when Superman: The Movie flies back into theaters for a 40th anniversary screening November 25th and November 27th.

This is one of my favorite superhero movies of all-time. As much as I’ve appreciated some of the other big screen takes of the iconic hero over the years, none of the other films have come close to the greatness of this movie for me, with it’s John Williams’ iconic score and Christopher Reeve’s performance as Superman.

Christopher Reeve stars alongside Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, Marlon Brando as Jor-El, and Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor. If you haven't ever seen this movie on the big screen, now is your chance. You won’t be sorry!

Superman: The Movie (1978)

Fathom Events doesn’t have specific theaters listed yet for either the Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, or Superman: The Movie screenings, so keep checking their website for more information.
